Bollywood Happy Endings That Were Not Happy At All
A “Bollywood Ending” is that unrealistic moment when a story wraps up perfectly, the heroes all go on to live happily ever after, and the villain either die or end up in prison. However, things never go that well in reality because the story doesn’t end. And this is the reason that classic Bollywood Happy Endings are also don’t go so well either when you think about it.
1. Haidar
Haidar killed his girlfriend’s brother, his two supposed to be best friends, did all that Tamasha on the streets that are provocative to take his revenge from Khurram and his men. Do you really think police leave him just because he is the hero or plotting revenge? There’s no way he can be saved, he has to go to prison for a long time for the charges of those murders. However, he left with nothing after the death of Arshia and Ghazala.
2. Zero
The second most popular dwarf after Tyrion Lannister in the world is Bauua Singh. But did Zero really has a happy ending? He came from space after spending decades there. He said he didn’t age a day in the space while people on the Earth are old or perhaps dead. What would he do? Will he spend normal life or go to another space mission just like Murf’s daddy in the Cristopher Nolan’s Interstellar.
3. Raman Raghav 2.0
Raman said that it wasn’t his story as Raghav also has the serial killer instinct. Even if it is true, it won’t work for Raghav. Or as an audience what we see, a new serial killer is out in the street of Mumbai killing all the innocent because he wants to kill. Raghav is not in the mood to find his counterpart so no ongoing story and Raghav can be traced soon and will spend the rest of his life in prison.
4. Manmarziyaan
Manmarziyaan shows the conflicts and rationality of a woman towards her family and love. Rumi said no to Vicky and also signed a divorce paper to end her marriage with Robbie. The last scene shows Robbie and Rumi are in friendly conversation. This can’t be a happy ending. Even if she reunites with Robbie she has to go through a lot with both the families. Because what Rumi has done so far in the movie is already made her character confused.
5. Baghban
Four sons are careless and they couldn’t see that their parents have done everything for their sons. Surely they made their life hell. So, in the end, their parents left them sounds like a good typical Bollywood ending. However, isn’t revenge or something like that? Parents are setting a bad example by doing that. They need a lesson, not a punishment.
6. Kaante
Kaante shows a bunch of people coming together to rob a bank in order to fulfill their needs. While everyone has their personal motives and police are also chasing them. Someone from them is also an informer. Thus… killing each other won’t help much. Moreover, a guy escapes with all the money but he left the location where firing happened. How much time police take to catch him as he has no backup at all.
7. Trapped
A guy trapped in an apartment in one of the most realistic portrayals in the movie. It shows, Rajkumar Rao managed to escape from the place but it does take a toll on him. While people believe it is a good ending as he escaped, they forget that he left with nothing. The girl he wanted to get married got married to someone else. He was ill with some severe phobias. His life would take a couple of months to get back in the tracks.
8. Badla
Badla is a gripping story with twists and turns. In the end, it was revealed that the couple impersonates a lawyer to get the confession of the killer. Sounds too good for a Bollywood movie, but don’t you know that impersonating a lawyer is a crime and person would be imposed with criminal charges. So even when they have the confession of Taapsee’s character. The couple has committed a severe crime and they also get punishment from the court.
9. Garam Masala
Akshay Kumar and John Abraham starrer Garam Masala was a blockbuster and cult comedy classic in Bollywood. In the end, Mac promised that he would leave all these paying with girls scenarios. And all those girls followed him with broomsticks and utensils. The freeze-frame showed that movie ended for well but actually it isn’t. He was harassing 3 girls for so long and there are chances that they would file a case against him.
10. Singham
It is the movie that shows heroic images of cops. While movies should establish cops in a good light that they are following the rules. Rohit Shetty’s cops are often vigilante with their own set of rules. They encounter wrongdoers and whatnot. In the end, it was shown that they all have escaped it but the reality can be different if someone asked for the inquiry which is a 100 percent surety in such cases.
