Netflix Ajeeb Daastaan Is Full Of Crap, Karan Johar’s Gandii Baat

To be honest, I was hoping for something very charming and thought-provoking with Netflix Ajeeb Daastaan but it turned out as full of crap. There’s no newness and no strong point to notice in any of its episodes. This is more like Karan Johar’s version of Alt Balaji’s Gandii Baat. At least they know what they are providing their audience.

Since I have wasted my 2 hours and 22 minutes watching the boring and less thrilling version of Gandii Baat, here’s I will tell you all the good reasons why you shouldn’t watch this crap and do something good with your time.

Ajeeb Daastaan Review – Manju

Ajeeb Daastaan Cast – Jaideep Ahlawat, Fatima Sana Sheikh

Okay, so the story is about a local leader who married a girl but is interested in boys. Also, he doesn’t want any other to sleep with his wife. Later, a man comes into the life, and both the couple fall for the boy.

Does it sound similar? It is the very first episode of Gandii Baat season 1.

What a bullshit story that was and what the bullshit story this is. It was just the actors doing edgy stories that were best suited for Indian erotica. Nothing at all intriguing about the story at all.

Ajeeb Daastaan Review – Khilauna

Ajeeb Daastaan Cast – Nusratt Bharruchaa, Abhishek Banerjee, and Inayat Verma

A house help finds herself in a witty situation and she got some help from her younger sister. Sorry, I didn’t mean to spoil the story for you but there’s nothing good about it to enjoy either. Trust me, this was the best among the four and this too has a very dumb story track without any intriguing aspect.

In some scenes, you might enjoy the wonderful performance by the cast but there’s seriously nothing more. This Ajeeb Daastaan is weird filming. I don’t know what was in the writer’s mind when they come up with such stories.

Ajeeb Daastaan Review – Geeli Pucchi

Ajeeb Daastaan Cast – Konkana Sensharma, Aditi Rao Hydari

I was looking forward to the story as I was expecting intense chemistry between these two actresses portraying the lesbian character for the first time. While the look and costume department has done commendable jobs it was the writing and acting that downgraded the story into the deep hell.

Seriously, you sit to watch the story and you won’t find what it means what was in the mind of writers, and what’s the conclusion at the end. It’s more like watching Roy again. The last Roy film has good cinematography though.

I never thought that Geeli Pucchi went so dry. The worst among all four.

Ajeeb Daastaan Review – Ankahee

Ajeeb Daastaan Cast – Manav Kaul, Shefali Shah

Oh boy, I have been a huge fan of Manav Kaul since his theatre day. Sadly, he is among one of the most underrated actors in Bollywood. And no wonder why he is like this. It is the selection of films and Ajeeb Dastan is no exception at all.

In the bits the movie is enjoyable but this is nothing like anyone expected and to be honest, this couldn’t be the biggest move by producers at all. The great ensemble of the cast can’t be framed in the cheap stories that people can see with many intimate scenes in Alt Balaji, Ullu, and Kooku.

Ajeeb Daastaan Conclusion

You need to be a die-hard fan of these actors and anyone related to film to appreciate it. Otherwise, this is a complete disaster in terms of storytelling and filmmaking as well. The film should be Ajeeb-shitty-daastaan.
