Jared Leto’s Morbius Delayed For The Fifth Time Now
We live in the new Marvel-ous world now and every Marvel-ous thing release schedules have a huge fan base waiting. It is a similar case with Jared Leto’s Morbius. Fans have to wait a little longer as the movie has been delayed for a week more.
Makers have clearly spoken in their interviews about their release plan. They mentioend that Morbius is an expensive $200 million movie and they won’t risk it in the market until they were pretty sure that theatres are running in full swing. We completely understand that they have a huge chunk of money at stake. However, with the box office predictions of Morbius, what they are doing is extremely cruel for the Morbius fans.
The moment the live-action version of Morbius was announced, comic book fans were excited to see one of their most loved characters getting some action in films. There were expectations that the story will completely different in the movie. Sony will take a darker approach which will be completely opposite of movies in MCU.
Furthermore, Morbius is an anti-hero, a living vampire who developed vampiric superhuman abilities and other physical traits from a failed biochemical experiment to cure his rare blood disease. Jared Leto is a well-known academy award winner actor and famous for his method acting.
A Little History Of Marvel’s Morbius Release Date
Morbius was originally scheduled for July 10th, 2020. It got repeatedly delayed due to pandemic from July 31st, ’20 to 19th March, ’21 to 21st January 2022. Now it’s finally scheduled for 28th January 2022 and we really hope there won’t any further delay.
Morbius is directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. Apart from Jared Leto, the film will feature Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, Tyrese Gibson, and Michael Keaton’s Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming too. Morbius is the third film in the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters after the films associated with Spider-Man and Venom.
Speaking of Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage is set to release on 24th September. Spider-Man: No Way Home, has aimed to release on 17th December 2021 if everything goes as per schedule.
