Radhika Madan Next Is The Web Series Titled ‘Saas, Bahu Aur Cocaine’
Director Homi Adajania has created a name for himself after directing some of the beautiful and much-talked films in the Bollywood industry. The man is behind the popular films like ‘Angrezi Medium’, ‘Finding Fanny‘, “Cocktail” and more.
Homi Adajania was getting limelight for making his directing debut on OTT with the web series titled ‘Saas, Bahu Aur Cocaine.’ The show is finally getting its leading ladies on board.
Radhika Madan signed to be part of the show that will stream on Disney+ Hotstar. The selection of Radhika Madan for the role is special as director Homi Adajania mentioned in one of his interviews that he wishes to work with Radhika Madan in the project. He also rooted for actresses like Tabu and Radhika Apte for the role.
A Challenging Role For Radhika Madan
The actor-director duo has worked together in the movie ‘Angrezi Medium’. A reputed online publication also mentioned that Homi has written the character in a way that would be a perfect fit for Radhika Madan and she came on board too.
The web series follows a family in Kutch who looks nothing like a normal family. In plain sight, they run an embroidery business but under the table, they operate the drug cartel secretly and successfully.
Also, the men of the family have no idea about the secret business at all. Thus, the show seems dark but Homi mentioned in his interviews that it will be dark humor with very bold and gritty performances.
The series synopsis seems promising at first glance, and if Homi Adajania figures out to gather the good actors to play their part, it will come out as a big surprise for the fans. The situational comedy will come up as a big factor in the show.
While Radhika Madan is one of the first actors ready for the project, the search for the other leads is underway. The series will be produced by Maddock Films’ Dinesh Vijan, under his brand new banner for digital content called “Outsider Films”. The team at the moment is not going ahead with any kind of shooting as they will wait for Covid situations to get better and for the restrictions and protocols to settle in.
