Netflix: Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Haseen Dilruba’ Poster Release
Bollywood Business analyst has already said that OTT platforms have emerged as stronger than ever during the pandemic and it will keep growing as many celebs start joining web series and OTT movies. Even the major films are taking the OTT route. One such beautiful movie is Vikrant Massey and Taapsee Pannu starrer Haseen Dilruba.
Netflix released another poster of Vikrant Massey’s Haseen Dilruba which is about to release on 2 July. The movie has created a lot of buzz because of its stellar star cast and genre. Haseen Dilruba will be a mystery thriller starring Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu, and Harshvardhan Rane in the lead role.
Haseen Dilruba is directed by Vinil Mathew and produced by Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma under the banner of Colour Yellow Productions.
To be honest, Haseen Dilruba is expected to be a Netflix Original movie from the very beginning. Netflix has invested a big chunk of its content to grab lion’s share in the Indian OTT market. Fans are waiting for a sensational Indian-origin Netflix series.
Trade analysts and entertainment industry experts said digital has emerged stronger than ever before during the pandemic and is unlikely to go away any time soon, despite theatre owners urging filmmakers to release films for big screens to help in the recovery of the industry.
Netflix Plans With Indian Original Content
Netflix has also grabbed Kartik Aaryan’s Dhamaka, and the much-awaited anthology web series titled Ray starring Manoj Bajpayee, Ali Fazal, Kay Kay Menon, and Harshwardhan Rane in a key role.
Earlier this year, the Reed Hastings-owned platform had completed five years of launch in India and had announced 40 plus originals, saying it is looking at expanding its slate by nearly three times as compared to 2020 as it programs across languages and genres.
Upcoming films on the service include Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Bulbul Tarang, Karan Johar’s production Meenakshi Sundareshwar, a Tamil anthology titled Navarasa, Abbas Mustan directed Penthouse, among others.
The movie is set to release on July 2, and the Haseen Dilruba Trailer will drop anytime soon.
