Bhoot Police Trailer Out: Watch Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor playing ghostbusters
Bhoot Police stars Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor as two desi ghostbusters. Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez will also play important roles in the film. Bhoot Police is directed by Paval Kripalani and scheduled to release on on Disney+Hotstar on September 17th.
Bhoot Police is essentially a horror-comedy film. In the film, Saif Ali Khan plays the character of a fake baba named Vibhooti who is far more interested in getting laid and booze than catching ghosts. On the other hand, Chiraunji, Arjun’s character, is a diligent ghostbuster who always follows his book to fight and defeat supernatural evils. The book’s name is ‘baba ki Kitab.
The great production design of the film looks beautiful in the trailer. Originally, the film was supposed to release in theatres. This explains why the film was made on such an enormous scale, which is generally atypical of OTT original films.
Disney+ Hotstar dropped the trailer of Bhoot Police on August 18
The things that most stand out in the trailer of Ghost Police are- its spooky background score and eerie visual effects. Earlier, the use of visual effects in most films used to be somewhat caricaturish, but thanks to the new developments in cinema technology, this is not the case with the Bhoot Police.
It appears from the look of the trailer that, in contrast to other horror-comedy films that too often sacrifice their horror elements in the service of its comedy, the film is in equal parts spooky and comical.
Arjun Kapoor told the media that he is a big fan of Saif Ali Khan and shared his initial fears about sharing the screen with his long-time hero Saif Ali Kan. Talking about his experience of working with Saif Ali Khan, he said, “I was quite excited to work with Saif because I am a huge fan and I was an assistant on the sets of Kal Ho Na Ho, too. Initially, I was a little apprehensive but working with Saif was a breeze.”
