11 Brand New Series Announced By Disney+ Hotstar
Disney+ Hotstar is a big contender in this OTT streaming giant’s fight. While Disney+ is now ruling the market with its MCU exclusive shows, Disney+ Hotstar decided to bring dozens of Web Original content to capture the Indian market.
In a recent video, Disney+ Hotstar revealed the names of various films and series that will soon be released on its streaming service. Following is a list of all the brand new series that is going to be released on Disney+ Hotstar.
1. The Empire
The Empire is an upcoming historical drama show that tells the story of how Mughal emperor Babur managed to conquer India. The Show stars Kunal Kapoor in the role of emperor Babur. The Emperor is based on the book series of the same name written by Alex Rutherford. The show has a huge budget and is scheduled to release on Disney+ Hotstar on August 27.
2. Escaype Live
The series Escaype Live is going to be a tech-thriller. The series stars Siddharth in the lead road, while brilliant actors such as Javed Jaffrey, Shweta Tripathi, and Ritvik Sahore will play supporting roles. Escaype Live is about a group of people who want to be famous and use a live streaming app for this purpose. Escaype Live will soon stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
3. Fear 1.0
Disney+ Hotstar’s Fear 1.0 will be a supernatural thriller series. Fear 1.0 is Tisca Chopra’s latest project after her work in Hostages. Recently, Tisca Chopra posted a picture that shows her new look in the series, creating excitement among the fans. Besides Tisca Chopra, the cast of the series includes well-known actors such as Saurabh Shukla and Rajesh Tailang.
4. Human
Human is going to be a medical drama series. The series stars Kirti Kulhari and Shefali Shah in central roles. Disney+ Hotstar, where the Human will be officially released, has not revealed the release date of the series yet.
5. Those Pricey Thakur Girls
Those Pricey Thakur Girls is a romantic comedy series. The series is based on the book of the same name written by Anuja Chauhan. Akshay Oberoi and Sahher Bamba will play the lead characters in this new Disney Hotstar series.
6. 6 Suspects
The web series 6 Suspects is a murder mystery series that has a heavy female lead cast. This new Disney+ Hotstar series is about a murder case in which six women are suspected of committing the murder. The first look of the 6 Suspects is quite promising.
7. Gharshana
Gharshana is a Telugu political drama series. It has already been announced that the series will contain two seasons. Gharshana stars Jagapathi Babu and Sarathkumar in central roles and the story of the series will take place in Vizag.
8. Rudra
Disney+ Hotstar’s new series Rudra will be a crime thriller. Rudra is an official remake of the British cop drama series Luther. Ajay Devgn will play a cop in the series. The show is already hyped up with the information that Ajay Devgn is making his OTT debut.
9. City Of Dreams 2
You can watch City of Dreams season on Disney+ Hotstar now. The series is a political drama based in Maharashtra featuring Priya Bapat and Atul Kulkarni in a dynamic roles. City Of Dreams season 1 received a good response from the audience for the captivating storylines.
10. Aarya 2
Aarya 2 is the sequel of the 2020 crime drama series Aarya. In the first season, the character of Sushmita Sen starts handling her husband’s illegal drug business, after his death. After the huge success of Aarya, the makers decided to make season 2 of the series.
11. Special OPS 1.5
Special OPS 1.5 is the second season of Special OPS which was released in 2020 on Disney+ Hotstar. The success of Special OPS persuaded creators of the series to renew it for the second season. The release date of the series has not been revealed yet.
