3 Bollywood Actresses Portray Sita In Upcoming Ramayana Projects
If you watch closely, you will find I have mentioned Ramayana Projects. In plural. For some unknown reasons, Ramayana has become the hottest topic for Indian filmmakers and they all have decided to come up with their take on the modern story.
It is happening, as all the upcoming Ramayana based movie has been announced by the different production house. They have even finalized the cast. And the Bollywood celebrities associated with the projects have hyped the movie even more.
Have you heard the backlash Kareena Kapoor Khan faced when she demanded a whopping 12 Crore Rupees to play Sita? Alaukik Desai wanted Kareena to portray the character but backed out after her fee demand for the project.
Similarly, Saif Ali Khan was criticized for his acting skills when he commented about humanizing the character of Ravana. Saif Ali Khan roped in to play the character of Ravana in the T-Series and Om Raut’s adaptation of Ramayan titled ‘Adhipurush’.
Kangana Ranaut Will Play Sita in Alaukik Desai’s ‘Sita The Incarnation’
Makers confirmed that Kangana Ranaut will portray Sita in the “Sita The Incarnation”. Kangana Ranaut and Alaukik Desai earlier collaborated for the movie ‘Thalaivii’. The movie is supposed to re-tell the Ramayan from the point of view of Sita.
The rest of the cast is still not confirmed by the makers. However, this is not the only upcoming movie on Ramayana. There are others too with a stellar cast and A-list Indian actors.
Kriti Sanon Will Play Sita in Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’
Adipurush among the most awaited releases since the movie announced. Tanhaji fame Om Raut brought another star-led movie which has blockbuster written on it. Prabhas will play the character of Lord Rama, Saif Ali Khan roped in to play Lankesh, and Kriti Senon will portray Devi Sita in the movie.
Fans are waiting to get any update regarding the movie. Since T-Series is distributing the movie, the budget and scale of the movie are way too big.
Deepika Padukone Will Play Sita in Madhu Montena’s Ramayana Project
With all this Deepika Padukone is also in talks to play the iconic character of Devi Sita in Madhu Montena’s Ramayana Project. It looks like Ramayana is the most cash-grabbing project right now especially with the fact that Ram Mandir’s inauguration is soon.
There might be another reason, but it seems a bit odd for circumstances. Three big star-led commercial movies on the backdrop of Ramayana set to release within a year. However, it is a love letter to fans who loves mythology.
