Aditya Roy Kapur OTT Debut With ‘The Night Manager’ Indian Remake

The British spy thriller ‘The Night Manager’ is getting an Indian remake and the cast is finalized. There were dozens of rumors about ‘The Night Manager’ Indian Remake for a year. The first names of the main lead and villain came out as Hrithik Roshan and Manoj Bajpayee.

It is cleared that Manoj Bajpayee walked out of the project because of date issues. The same reason is provided by the Hrithik Roshan. However, the new piece of information came out from the B-town stating that Aditya Roy Kapur is all set to make an OTT debut with the show.

Actor Anil Kapoor is also finalized to play the antagonist in the web series. ‘The Night Manager’ Indian remake will stream on Disney+ Hotstar. It seems like Aditya Roy Kapur will play the character of Jonathan Pine, a night manager at a posh hotel who became a spy.

Indian Remake Of ‘The Night Manager’ With Anil Kapoor

Tom Hiddleston portrayed the character of Jonathan Pine in the original series. His character turned spy for British intelligence who exposes an international arms dealer. Similarly, Anil Kapoor essayed the role of Richard Roper, the antagonist played by Hugh Laurie.

The show is definitely not going to be a frame-to-frame adaptation, the setting and narrative will be modified to suit Indian sensibilities. However, the original series traversed into many countries that include Switzerland, Cairo, England, and Turkey. It would be interesting to see if the Indian remake also manage to be the globetrotter or not.

The web series ‘The Night Manager’ has many other meaty roles. Actresses like Olivia Colman and Elizabeth Debicki gave one of their finest performances in the show. Makers should also focus on the supporting cast of the film so much so that they can create good hype.

Preity Zinta and Banijay Asia are co-producing the show and it will be available to watch online on Disney+ Hotstar. Aarya fame Sandeep Modi will sit on the director’s chair for this big adaptation ‘The Night Manager’ written by spy novels writer John Le Carre.
