Critical Response On Scenes From A Marriage Drama Series
The series development was announced by HBO in July 2020. Hagai Levi came on board to write and direct the mini-series while Michelle Williams and Oscar Isaac serve as the show’s executive producers. Isaac and Williams were supposed to play the lead role but Williams was forced to exit due to scheduling conflict.
Later Jessica Chastain replaced Michelle Williams. Sunita Mani, Nicole Beharie, Tovah Feldshuh, and Corey Stoll also joined the cast by the end of January 2021.
Rotten Tomatoes reported an 84% approval rating for the show with an average rating of 7.5/10 on the basis of 32 critics’ reviews. They especially mentioned the crackling chemistry shared by both the lead actors and their impressive performance.
