Who Is Sharvari Wagh? Know About ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ Actor
Sharvari Wagh is getting everyone’s attention for playing Junior Babli in her debut movie with Yash Raj Films. The movie is also special for Sharvari as she is sharing screen space with Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Pankaj Tripathi, and Rani Mukerji.
Sharvari Wagh was born and brought up in Mumbai. She was born in 1996 and did her schooling at ‘The Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School’ and completed her graduation from ‘Ruparel College’.
She started modeling at the age of 16 and won her college competition in 2013. As a model, Sharvari was part of many TV commercials.
Sharvari Wagh Family
Sharvari comes from a Maharashtrian family. Her father, Shailesh Wagh, is a builder, and her mother and sister, Namrata Wagh and Kasturi Wagh are architects. She is the maternal granddaughter of Manohar Joshi, Maharashtra’s former CM and 13th Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
Sharvari did a nine-month acting course from Jeff Goldberg’s Studio. Considering her passion for acting, she took the theatre workshops as well. Sharvari also worked as an assistant director in the movies like Bajirao Mastani, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
In 2020, Sharvari was featured in the Amazon Prime Video’s web series ‘The Forgotten Army – Azaadi ke Liye’. She auditioned for about 5 years before she bagged the role of Babli in Bunty Aur Babli 2.
Sharvari talked about her web series ‘The Forgotten Army’ stating how she landed the role. “One day, I got a call from Mukesh Chhabra’s office telling me I was shortlisted for the role. Then Kabir Khan directed all the shortlisted actors and after that, I got the role. In auditions, you get a character sketch, not the history of the character or its connection to the story.”
Like we all, Sharvari is also very excited about her upcoming movie. She mentioned, “I feel very excited. The best part is that the stories and scripts of both my projects are superb. The fact that I have been allowed to be part of these projects is great.”
Bunty Aur Babli 2 is slated to release on November 19.
