The twisted love triangle set in the lawless town of Onkara might look like a regular romantic thriller but it is menacing and refreshing. Many compared the web series with The Shakespearean love which is kinda true if we talk about Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein’s execution.

Siddharth Sengupta being an amazing director has built such a strong base for his characters in the web series. Everything that followed in the story seems like a valid thing to do. All these characters are operating in the grey area and thus you feel sympathy for either all or none.

All the characters in the ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein’ web series are so different in their values that creators can come up with the whole Indian daily soap opera thing. Thankfully, they managed to give it is a satisfying conclusion.

The story starts with Tahir Raj Bhasin’s character escaping goons. He started his narration by mentioning the lady and how her love became the reason for his destruction. Which Anchal Singh comes out as a breakout star by portraying the character of Purva, it is indeed Tahir Raj Bhasin’s story.

Tahir went through complete transformation by playing Vikrant in Netflix’s Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein. Cinematography and music have also elevated the project to a totally different crescendo. There are a couple of scenes in the web series that are visually appealing.

Shweta Tripathi did wonderful with the provided material. It is Anchal Singh who stole the show. Her character is written in a complex way. Being the ultimate femme fatale, Anchal Singh shone in most of her scenes.

However, the show is not the ideal full entertainer at all. There are plenty of loopholes in the story and packed with many instances that made people walk away. For instance, the second half of the show dips and never rises completely.

Even the climax leaves you with a sense of incompletion (not in a good way). Some elements just didn’t fit the writing and felt like used only for the closure. Still, the show is going to be an interesting watch.
