Gehraiyaan Movie Review: Deepika Padukone’s Boldest Performance Yet
There are plenty of popular websites that write worth-reading reviews of movies and web series. Clearly, you won’t read it until there is some new information. Okay, so we promise you we have some strong opinions about Gehraiyaan.
As many critics concluded, Gehraiyaan is undoubtedly Deepika Padukone’s boldest on-screen incarnation. Even the concept of infidelity hasn’t been explored much in Bollywood movies. It is definitely a good watch.
However, it is not the type of film that you suggest to your friends for a good watch. The movie tries to prove the point that Alisha’s affair is a natural thing. We can say that creators have tried to glorify the cheat in a relationship in various circumstances.
As we states earlier, we haven’t seen many movies but one thing that can be done is to let the audience decide it themselves. The whole movie is presented from Alisha’s point of view. No matter, if many critics point out that the world is created to fit Alisha’s emotions.
Gehraiyaan: Shakun Batra’s Direction and Motives Of Having Intimacy
The movie Gehraiyaan is marketed on the sizzling chemistry between Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Watching the movie, you may feel that the scenes were necessary to glorify the chemistry. The actors did a phenomenal job with the written material and somewhat elevated the project.
The problem however lies in the script itself. The topic so sensitive needs delicate touch and a balanced screenplay. Shakun Batra as a director has impressed everyone with Kapoor & Sons. Gehraiyaan, however, is a bit disappointed.
The ending can be better. There was the possibility to make a better movie with such amazing characters. The movie lacks in its second half as makers left it instead of giving it the much-needed direction. In the end, you need to come up with your conclusion whether you like it or not.
