Pankhirya Udi Udi Review: EOR TV Normalizing LGBTQIA Romance
Pankhirya Udi Udi is an 8-episodic rom-com drama on EOR TV. The web series talks about same-sex relationships starring Snower Sania and Kavita Banerjee in lead roles. With its raw visual approach, Pankhirya Udi Udi explores the romantic relationship of two women.
The web series is created by director Deepak Pandey and produced by Dreamzz Images Studio. The web series is somewhat similar to a typical Hollywood rom-com. The story revolves around Arya (Snower Sania) and Pankhi (Kavita Banerjee) who fight back all the difficulties to live together.
Pankhirya Udi Udi Story
However, when Arya is discovered with a fatal disease, she wants Pankhi to move on and find a new partner. If we critics the Pankhirya Udi Udi web series, we can say that the web series’s main aim is to normalize the situation and not to entertain the audience.
Every time they try to entertain the audience, they put dozens of unnecessary private moments between the lead couple. You know that the web series is slipping its genre from rom-drama to softcore when you see minute-long takes of actors kissing each other.
The problem is not the glorification of love but the idea to shut the story and sell the series on just two girls’ interaction. It could be a good web series if creators had not emphasized the relationship and focused on creating the story.
Pankhirya Udi Udi Performances
Snower Sonia and Kavita Banerjee have done a tremendous job with provided material. Both the actresses were confident and clear about the concept and message they are giving with their web series Pankhirya Udi Udi.
Probably this is the reason every romantic scene – and that is too many – weren’t seem awful. The story part is a bit dull and slow but their chemistry sparks. It would be hard to miss the series until you binge-watch all the 8 episodes.
