Fans are waiting for Bridgerton Season 2 Trailer after the tease on Valentine’s day and here it is. Netflix just dropped the official trailer of the second season of hit period-romance-drama Bridgerton. The web series will premiere all episodes on March 25,2022 on streaming giant Netflix.
Bridgerton season 1 explored the enemies-to-lovers trope. The lead pair’s chemistry made everyone drool for more. However, the second season of Bridgerton focuses on the love triangle between Anthony Bridgerton, the eldest son of the Bridgerton family, played by Jonathan Bailey and sisters Edwina Sharma and Kate Sharma played by Charithra Chandran and Simone Ashley respectively.
Sources revealed that Phoebe Dyvenor will return to portray Daphne Bridgerton, but her now-husband, Simon Basset is not returning for the Bridgerton season 2.
The trailer shows us glimpses of collision of desire and duty as Anthony courts Edwina. It also showed us her headstrong sister Kate’s protectiveness towards her sister.
A Love Triangle In Bridgerton Season 2
As Anthony Bridgerton pursues his quest for love, he declares that it is out of “the greatest love of my family that I am to choose a bride with my head, and not with my heart.” Kate believes Anthony doesn’t really love Edwina and he is just fulfilling his duty with the decision to marry her. With series of events, Anthony and Kate get drawn to each other.
“What happens when duty is in conflict with the heart’s true desire?” asks Lady Whistledown in voice-over. The makers of the show have upheld the world and steamy reputation of Bredgerton Season 1 and also increased the anticipation with the trailer of season 2.
Bridgerton emerged as one of the most watched English language series on Netflix worldwide. Little you know it is the second most watched series across all languages behind Squid Game.
The show has reportedly fetched viewership of nearly 82 million households and remained at number one position in around 76 countries. Netflix instantly renewed the show for second season and then for third and fourth seasons respectively.
