When Shweta Rastogi was 20 years old, she got a chance to play the role of Radha in Ramanand Sagar’s serial Shri Krishna. However, this role did not come easily to him. According to the reports, when Shweta Rastogi came to audition for the serial, she was rejected at first. Shweta could not impress Ramanand Sagar with her dialogue delivery.
However, Ramanand Sagar could not forget Shweta Rastogi’s simplicity as he did not like whoever came after him to audition. He again called Shweta to audition. And in the second time Shweta got selected.
Actually, for the second time in the audition, Ramanand Sagar asked Shweta Rastogi to dance. Since Shweta was a trend dancer, she did a perfect dance and she was selected for the role of Radha. It is said that Ramanand Sagar was so impressed by seeing Swapnil and Shweta in Radha-Krishna’s getup that he used to touch both of his feet before shooting.
Born in Meerut in 1973, Shweta Rastogi is now 49 years old. At present, she lives in Mumbai with her husband. Let us tell you that he started working in serials from the age of 4.
