Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 has taken the internet by storm with the announcement of its contestants. The highly anticipated reality show, hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, is known for its controversies and entertaining content.
Jio Cinema, the platform airing the show, has finally revealed the first glimpse of the intriguing housemates, putting an end to the swirling rumors. This season promises exciting additions and twists, including audience participation that gives viewers the power to influence the outcomes of daily tasks.
Here is the list of contestants who will be seen in the Bigg Boss house:
1. Manisha Rani:
Manisha Rani, a popular social media influencer from Bihar, is expected to bring her unique Bihari swag and intelligence to the show. Drawing comparisons to Archana Gautam and Shehnaaz Gill from previous seasons, Manisha aims to showcase her roots and captivate the audience with her charm.
2. Abhishek Malhan:
Hailing from Pitampura-Rohini in Delhi, Abhishek Malhan is a commerce graduate and a dedicated gamer with a YouTube gaming channel. Known as the “Mr. Beast of India,” Abhishek gained popularity by rewarding viewers who successfully completed his challenges.
His engaging content, including challenge roasting and dare videos, caught the attention of the audience and contributed to his rise as a prominent YouTuber.
3. Akansha Puri:
Akansha Puri, who made her debut in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film “Calender Girls” in 2015, started her career as a model and went on to appear in several regional films. Hailing from Indore, she also portrayed the role of Goddess Parvati in the TV show “Vighnaharta Ganesha” on Sony TV. Recently, she was seen in the web series “Inspector Avinash.”
4. Aaliya Siddiqui:
Aaliya Siddiqui, who was formerly married to Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has gained attention due to the public disputes between them. Both have openly shared details about their personal lives and issues on social media platforms.
Aaliya, originally known as Anjali Kishore Pandey, is a mother of two children, a daughter named Shora and a son named Yaani. This reality show marks Aaliya’s first appearance in such a format. It is worth mentioning that Aaliya was previously married to Vinay Bhargava and changed her name to Aaliya after marrying Nawazuddin.
5. Jiya Shankar:
Jiya Shankar is an actress renowned for her roles in television shows such as “Kaatelal & Sons” as Susheela Ruhail Solanki and “Meri Hanikarak Biwi” as Dr. Iravati ‘Ira’ Pandey. She recently made her feature film debut in Riteish Deshmukh’s romantic drama “Ved.” Jiya has also appeared in another TV show called “Pisachini” opposite Harsh Rajput.
6. Puneet Superstar:
Puneet Superstar, a social media influencer also known as Lord Puneet, gained fame through viral videos in which he showcased embarrassing acts. One notable video depicts him shouting loudly while riding as a pillion on a bike. These unconventional videos have contributed to his rise in popularity, leading him to make his debut on a reality TV show.
7. Falaq Naaz:
Falaq Naaz is an actor who has captivated audiences with her performances in TV shows like “Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev,” “Sasural Simar Ka,” and “Mahakali – Anth Hi Aarambh Hai.” In recent months, she has been in the spotlight due to her support for her brother Sheezan.
Sheezan faced legal trouble after the unfortunate demise of his co-star Tunisha Sharma on the sets of their show “Alibaba Dastaan e Kabul.” He was subsequently released on bail after a few months.
8. Avinash Sachdev:
Avinash Sachdev, a well-known TV actor, has gained popularity for his roles in daily soap operas like “Chotti Bahu” and “Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. Ek Baar Phir.” His journey in the entertainment industry began as an assistant director, working on the show “Hatim” in 2004.
He later collaborated with Farhan Akhtar on the film “Rock On!” in 2008. Avinash made his acting debut in 2006 with the TV show “Karam Apnaa Apnaa” and has since appeared in popular shows such as “Khwaish,” “Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil,” “Qubool Hai 4,” and “Balika Vadhu Lamhe Pyaar Ke.”
9. Palak Purswani:
Palak Purswani started her career on the reality show “Splitsvilla 7.” She quickly gained recognition for her appearances in popular shows like “Meri Hanikarak Biwi” and “Badi Devrani.” Her breakthrough came with the show “Yeh Rishte Hain Pyaar Ke,” which earned her national fame.
Palak has also ventured into the world of short films. She was previously engaged to Avinash Sachdev, but they called off their engagement in 2020.
10. Bebika Dhurve:
Bebika Dhurve is currently portraying the character of Devika Oberoi on the Zee TV show “Bhagyalaxmi.” Hailing from a Maharashtrian family, Bebika is a dentist based in Mumbai. She has five sisters and pursued her formal education before entering the entertainment industry. Additionally, she participated in the Miss India pageant in 2020.
11. Kevin Almasifar:
Kevin Almasifar has previously appeared on shows like “Splitsvilla” and “Roadies” and is now preparing to join Bigg Boss OTT Season 2. He comes from an Iranian family and is based in Pune. Alongside his reality show experience, Kevin is also skilled in mixed martial arts, which adds to his ability to navigate and succeed in a reality show.
12. Jad Hadid:
Jad Hadid is a Lebanese model with a passion for motorcycles. Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, he currently resides in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His presence in the Bigg Boss house is sure to add excitement and create an enticing atmosphere this season.
