Renowned filmmaker Aanand L Rai recently shared the first teaser and announced the title of his upcoming film, in which he reunites with the talented actor Dhanush. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Aanand revealed that the film has been titled “Tere Ishk Mein,” coinciding with the 10th anniversary of their film “Raanjhanaa.”

Teaser of Tere Ishk Mein:

The teaser begins with an intense scene, featuring an enraged Dhanush running towards a wall while holding a petrol bomb and smoking. As he sprints through the night, shattering glass surrounds him.

Towards the end of the clip, Dhanush’s voice can be heard saying, “Pichli baar toh Kundan tha, maan gaya. Par iss baar Shankar ko kaese rokoge (Last time it was Kundan, who accepted his fate. But how will you stop Shankar this time?).” It’s worth mentioning that Kundan is the character portrayed by Dhanush in “Raanjhanaa.”

The clip concludes with Dhanush hurling the bottle at the wall, resulting in a fiery explosion that engulfs a chariot. He then walks away, screaming. In the teaser, Dhanush sports long hair and a beard, wearing a grey T-shirt, shirt, and denims. The background music is an instrumental version of A.R. Rahman’s iconic composition from “Raanjhanaa.”

The description reads, “From ‘Raanjhanaa’ to ‘Atrangi Re,’ Aanand L Rai and Dhanush have traversed a long journey, fostering mutual admiration for each other’s work. Now, on the 10th anniversary of ‘Raanjhanaa,’ we bring this iconic duo back to the silver screen with #TereIshkMein! Coming to cinemas in 2024!”

Aanand’s thoughts on Tere Ishk Mein:

Accompanying the video on Instagram, Aanand expressed, “Sometimes, you come across stories that feel like old friends. They don’t shake hands; they embrace you. Ten years ago, we found a story just like that… Kundan’s story.”

He further added, “He was my friend, but couldn’t survive. He didn’t have the will to live. Now, after 10 years, a similar tale has emerged. He is akin to Kundan, except his intention is to annihilate the world. Exclusively for you… Tere Ishk Mein.”

Released in 2013, “Raanjhanaa” is a romantic drama film directed by Aanand and written by Himanshu. Alongside Dhanush, the movie features Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Swara Bhasker. It marked Dhanush’s debut in Hindi cinema. The film premiered on June 21, 2013, while its Tamil version, titled “Ambikapathy,” was released a week later.
