Lyca Productions recently revealed the first look of Kangana Ranaut from the upcoming horror comedy, Chandramukhi 2. The film, directed by P Vasu, is the sequel to the blockbuster Tamil horror comedy, Chandramukhi. In Chandramukhi 2, Kangana Ranaut will be portraying the role of a dancer in the king’s court.
Kangana’s first look in Chandramukhi 2
The posters shared by Lyca Productions on X (previously known as Twitter) featured Kangana adorned in a green and golden saree, complemented by heavy jewelry. She stood gracefully inside a palace, captivating the audience with her mesmerizing look away from the camera.
The caption accompanying the posters described Kangana’s portrayal as Chandramukhi as “enviable, commanding, and gorgeous.” The film is set to release on GANESH CHATURTHI in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

Before unveiling the first look, Lyca Productions treated fans with a video on Instagram, celebrating Kangana Ranaut’s impactful characters from her previous movies, including Fashion, Tanu Weds Manu, Krrish 3, Queen, Manikarnika, and Thalaivii. The video culminated in a glimpse of Kangana’s appearance in Chandramukhi 2.
Chandramukhi 2, produced by Lyca Productions and Subaskaran, features Raghava Lawrence in the lead role opposite Kangana. The film revolves around the story of a dancer in the king’s court renowned for her beauty and dance skills.
Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming films
Apart from Chandramukhi 2, Kangana has several other exciting projects in the pipeline. In the film Tejas, she will portray an Indian Air Force pilot, with a scheduled release date of October 20, 2023.
Additionally, Kangana will be seen in the period film Emergency, where she takes on the role of the late Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. This film also marks her first solo-directorial venture and boasts a star-studded cast including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Vishak Nair, and Shreyas Talpade.
With Chandramukhi 2 promising to be an enticing addition to Kangana Ranaut’s diverse filmography, fans eagerly await its release in September across multiple languages.
