Why Did Hanuman Ansh Take So Long to Reach OTT?
The makers chose to stay in cinemas. In September, director Vishal Chaturvedi and producer Ragini Sona said they wanted a 100-day theatrical run and had not yet finalised a digital deal, per Esquire India. They felt its devotional scale played best on the big screen.
A 27 November stream puts the film on SonyLIV almost 16 weeks after release, just past that 100-day mark.
A Small Film That Became a Blockbuster
Made on a reported budget of around ₹2 crore, Hanuman Ansh started slowly and then grew on word of mouth. By late September it had crossed ₹360 crore worldwide, and later trade estimates put its total far higher.
