Gen V, the college-set spinoff of Amazon Prime Video’s hit superhero show The Boys, is gearing up for a high-voltage sophomore year. At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, the series unveiled a new trailer and dazzling casting updates for Season 2.
Gen V Season 2 Cast Revealed
Erin Moriarty returns as Starlight (Annie January), crossing over from The Boys into Gen V, where she rescues Marie Moreau and thrusts her into a new mission involving Project Odessa.
Ethan Slater, known for his role in Wicked, joins the cast as Thomas Godolkin, the founder of Godolkin University, featured in flashbacks tied to the secret Project Odessa.
Nathan Mitchell’s Black Noir also appears in Season 2, further blending The Boys universe into the campus drama.
Gen V Season 2 Plot & Showrunner Insights
The trailer picks up after The Boys Season 4 and Gen V Season 1. With Homelander’s iron rule tightening across America, Godolkin University is under a strict new Dean, Cipher (played by Hamish Linklater), who pushes students toward disturbing strength and control.
Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Emma (Lizze Broadway), Jordan (London Thor / Derek Luh), and Cate (Maddie Phillips) reluctantly return to campus. They uncover a centuries-old program, Project Odessa, which may hold unprecedented super-power potential, and Marie becomes central to it.

How Gen V Season 2 Honor Chance Perdomo
In March 2024, actor Chance Perdomo tragically passed away. Showrunner Michele Fazekas confirmed the team would not recast Andre Anderson. Instead, Season 2 has been reshaped as a tribute, with Perdomo’s presence woven into the story through Andre’s impact on others, especially via his father, Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas).
Gen V Season 2 Release Date
Gen V Season 2 drops September 17, 2025, with a three-episode debut, followed by weekly episodes through October 22.
The new season sets up The Boys Season 5, creating cross-multiverse storytelling, answering fan questions about character fates and widening the resistance to Homelander’s rule.
