Proxies, a new Spanish thriller from Oriol Paulo, the director of The Invisible Guest, premieres globally on Netflix on 11 December 2026. Mario Casas, Eduard Fernández and Blanca Suárez lead the cast.

What Is Proxies About?
It is the morning of Christmas Eve. A man walks into a police station and confesses to killing two, maybe three, people.

Why is he confessing now, and what does he want? His story soon connects to another case that was supposedly closed but never quite added up.
Why Indian Viewers Know Oriol Paulo
Paulo made The Invisible Guest (Contratiempo, 2016), which was remade in Hindi as Badla (2019) with Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. He also made Mirage (2018) and The Body (El cuerpo, 2012), and co-created Netflix’s The Innocent.
His films are known for twist after twist, so expect a puzzle built to be rewatched. Note that El cuerpo is not Netflix’s new teen series The Body (2026).
