Meet the High-Profile Players
Among the list, several names stand out due to their massive existing fanbases. Chinmayi Sripada is perhaps the most surprising entry. Known for her activism and playback singing, her transition into a reality format centered on deception is highly anticipated.
Harsha Vardhan, famous for the sitcom Amrutham, brings a sharp intellect to the game. As a screenwriter, his ability to read plotlines and character motivations could make him a formidable player. Similarly, Vidyullekha Raman and Vishnu Oi are expected to provide comedic relief, but their sharp screen presence suggests they may be more observant than they appear.
Innovative Casting: Beyond the Film Industry
One aspect that distinguishes this show from Bigg Boss Telugu is its inclusion of professionals from outside the entertainment bubble. Dr. Meghanath Reddy, an anaesthesiologist, is perhaps the most intriguing addition. A doctor’s ability to stay calm under pressure and analyze vitals could be a literal game changer when trying to spot a lying Traitor.
Rahat Achanta, an entrepreneur in the fresh produce industry, and Shravya Varma, a renowned stylist, bring real world negotiation and interpersonal skills to the table. These diverse backgrounds ensure that the social dynamics within the house remain unpredictable.
How the Game Works: Innocents vs. Traitors
The format of the show is simple yet brutal. The 20 contestants are divided into two secret groups: the Innocents and the Traitors.
| Feature | Innocents | Traitors |
|---|---|---|
| Goal | Identify and banish the Traitors. | Eliminate Innocents without getting caught. |
| Knowledge | Do not know who the Traitors are. | Know the identity of other Traitors. |
| Daily Action | Vote to banish a suspected Traitor. | Secretly “murder” one Innocent each night. |
| Winning Condition | Banish all Traitors to share the prize. | Reach the end to take the full prize. |
Host Teja Sajja: From Superhero to Game Master
After his breakout success in the film Hanu-Man, Teja Sajja is making his debut as a reality show host. Unlike traditional hosts who act as neutral moderators, Teja’s role in The Traitors is that of a puppet master.
In a press statement released on October 7, 2026, Teja described the experience as completely new and unpredictable. He noted that the game is as surprising for the host as it is for the participants. His youthful energy and growing stardom are expected to draw a younger demographic to the Prime Video original.
