In August 2015, Mumbai Police made a significant arrest when they apprehended Indrani Mukerjea, charging her as the primary suspect in the tragic case involving the death of her daughter, Sheena Bora. Bora, then 24 years old, was purportedly strangled to death inside a car, allegedly by Indrani Mukerjea, her former driver Shyamvar Rai, and ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna, in April 2012.
Notably, Sheena Bora was Indrani’s daughter from a previous relationship, adding another layer of complexity to the case. The grim discovery of Bora’s burnt body in a forest in the Raigad district shed light on the sinister events that had transpired.
