Vicky Kaushal sent waves across the internet on Monday with a tantalizing hint about an upcoming project featuring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. This buzz was further fueled by filmmaker Karan Johar, who revealed the film’s title and unveiled a series of posters. Titled “Bad Newz,” the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on July 19, 2024.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Karan shared the news, teasing, “Prepare for an uproarious rollercoaster ride – a comedy inspired by real-life events!! #BadNewz IN CINEMAS 19th July 2024!”
Bad Newz Movie Earlier Titled “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam”
Last year, snapshots of Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri on set in Croatia made rounds online. These images captured intimate moments between the two, including Vicky holding Triptii closely during a song shoot and even lifting her in his arms. The film is under the direction of Anand Tiwari, renowned for his work in “Bandish Bandits.”
Meanwhile, Triptii Dimri is reveling in the success of “Animal,” released in December 2023, where she starred opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Her chemistry with Ranbir garnered widespread praise. Besides “Bad Newz,” she’s also set to feature in Kartik Aaryan’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” and to romance Rajkummar Rao in “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.”
Vicky Kaushal, fresh from his role in “Sam Bahadur,” is set to appear in “Chhava” alongside Rashmika Mandanna. This period drama is poised to explore the courage, sacrifices, and wartime strategies of Sambhaji Maharaj, intertwined with an emotional love story with his wife.
