What Is Oxytoxin About?
Oxytoxin is a youth romance set in a high school, following a close group of girls through first love, friendship and growing up. The title is a play on oxytocin, the “love hormone”, which hints at the sweet, slightly chaotic romance at its centre. Expect a lighter, coming-of-age tone than GMMTV’s more dramatic adult GL series.
Why Thai GL Fans Are Excited
- A fresh ensemble: GMMTV is betting on a new generation of leads rather than its established GL pairs.
- Netflix simulcast: worldwide same-day release makes it one of the most accessible Thai GL shows of the year.
- A long wait: the series was first announced at GMMTV’s 2026 line-up event in November 2025, so fans have waited a full year.
- Big launch: GMMTV is hosting a premiere event in Bangkok on the day of release.
Other Thai GL Series Out This Weekend
Oxytoxin isn’t the only GL premiere on 7 November. Under Her Rules, starring Meena Rina and Aoom Thaweeporn, also begins that day, airing Saturdays on iQIYI. It’s a big weekend for GL fans, with two new series launching on the same night.
